Some restaurants are so cool that are successful amongst locals and tourists. Do you know one that is exactly like this? Picnic!
I think we all agree that this is one cool name for a place. Now look at how cute it is inside!
Since this blog is not only about cute things, but (mainly) about food, let’s see the delicious things this place has to offer!
Starting with this quinoa and potato croquetas ($3). Three crunchy little balls. Really cheap and really good.
Moving on, we have grilled pulp with chick peas salad and paprika oil. “Pulpo grille, ensalada de garbanzos, aceite de pilentón de la Vera” (€9,5). By now, I know you are already used to my honesty, right? I have to admit that this pulp wasn’t half as good as we expected it to be. Anyway, I should also admit that the service was the highlight of the night and that the plate was promptly substituted by this other one that I’m going to describe next.
Slow roasted lamb shoulder with orzotto salad and jus. Paletilla de cordero, orzoto, jus (€9,50). The meat was sooooo soft and the orzotto absorbed all the tasty juices, such a powerful combination. In summary, one of the best I’ve tried so far, totally recommended.
A really good place to go with friends, with boy/girlfriend, with family, for brunch, for lunch… but mainly, to show everyone that you know where the coolest places in Barcelona are hidden.
